One aspect of EMRs that I don&#039;t see getting much attention is how they can empower patients to take more control over their health info -- and, as a result, their healthcare.  Tools like Microsoft HealthVault (http://www.healthvault.com/Personal/index.html) are part of the puzzle, but they&#039;re important and get us used to taking a more active role in the process, which should also lead to fewer errors.</description>
