This article is an incorrect interpretation of what occurred with the FDA. First, Topamax is a drug used primarily to prevent seizures. It was later discovered that it was helpful in preventing migraines and is now being used as a migraine prophylactic. It is by no means a "migraine drug." Second, the title of this article is so very wrong. Topamax did not just earn FDA approval for prevention of seizures. That occurred long ago. What the FDA just did was approve a generic version of Topamax. Plain and simple.
