Thousands More Jardine Cribs Recalled Over Strangulation, Entrapment Risks

Another 96,000 cribs made by Jardine Enterprises are being recalled because the wooden slats on the infant beds can break and create a gap that poses a risk of entrapment and strangulation in children. The recall is the latest involving Jardine cribs. About 320,000 of the company’s cribs were recalled in June 2008 and another 56,000 were ordered taken off the market in January 2009, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
